Ag Loan Officer

Homestead Bank is looking for a motivated, relationship-focused Loan Officer to join our team in Ainsworth, Nebraska. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building lasting customer relationships, and helping individuals, families, farmers, and businesses achieve their financial goals.

As a Loan Officer, you’ll work directly with customers to understand their financial needs, develop appropriate lending solutions, and guide them through the lending process. You’ll also play an important role in developing new business and representing Homestead Bank throughout the Ainsworth community.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Originate, evaluate, and manage a variety of loans based on experience and lending needs.
• Meet with customers to understand their financial goals and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
• Analyze financial information, credit history, collateral, and other relevant information to evaluate loan requests.
• Prepare and present loan recommendations in accordance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
• Maintain and service an existing loan portfolio while developing new lending relationships.
• Identify opportunities to connect customers with additional banking products and services.
• Stay informed of lending regulations, Bank policies, and industry practices.
• Actively participate in the Ainsworth community and help develop new business opportunities.
• Work closely with fellow Homestead Bank employees to provide an excellent overall customer experience.

• The ability to analyze financial information and make sound lending recommendations.
• A willingness to develop new business and become involved in the local community.
• Previous banking, lending, agricultural, financial, or related experience is preferred.
• A college degree in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
