As a Community Bank IT Risk & Security Consultant with Complete Compliance Inc. (CCI), you will be responsible for managing and supporting the information technology, information security, technology risk management, and strategic IT initiatives of our community bank clients. You will work remotely for the majority of your hours with onsite visits scheduled as required. The position offers the flexibility to manage your schedule independently while providing meaningful opportunities to work directly with bank leadership and regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated or outsourced Information Security Officer (ISO) advisor for community bank clients.
  • Lead and support external IT audits, exams, and follow-up remediation.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive management and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and conduct annual due diligence.
  • Oversee IT and cybersecurity risk assessments, risk management processes, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and review IT policies, strategic plans, and incident response plans.
  • Lead IT Committee meetings and deliver cybersecurity awareness training on topics including phishing, social engineering, ransomware, and emerging threats.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new systems, products, or services.
  • Troubleshoot and provide strategic advice on network, access, and security issues.
  • Monitor and maintain hardware/software inventory and user access controls.
  • Prepare and present information security, technology risk, and IT governance reports to executive management, IT Committees, and Boards of Directors.
  • Provide summaries and insights from technical reports to senior management.
  • Contribute to the development of CCI client resources, including regulatory updates, industry alerts, training materials, and other educational content, as assigned.

Occasional travel to client locations for meetings, examinations, strategic planning sessions, and board presentations may be required. This position reports directly to CCI President.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Experience working within or consulting for community banks is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of community bank IT environments and regulatory standards, including FFIEC guidance, FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, and state banking regulatory expectations related to information security and technology risk management.
  • Experience working with community bank core processors, ancillary banking systems, and third-party service providers.
  • Comfortable interacting with executive management, Boards of Directors, auditors, examiners, and third-party vendors.
  • Comfortable with remote work, with the flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Able to handle technical troubleshooting and policy-level strategic IT oversight.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
