Credit Analyst

We are seeking a Credit Analyst in our Omaha, NE location, who will be responsible for analyzing financial statements and credit documents for loan borrowers. You will work closely with the loan officers and management to determine credit worthiness, repayment ability, and collateral analysis all align with the bank’s lending practices. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of borrower’s financial statements, tax returns, collateral information and other financial data.
• Assess liquidity, profitability, and debt levels
• Assess the creditworthiness of the applicant to determine credit limits or loan amounts
• Prepare reports showing credit finding and provide recommendations on credit risk
• Ensure that all lending activities and decisions are in strict compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations
• Assist lenders in determining approval or denial of loans
• Review loan files for accuracy and required documentation

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field is preferred.
• Prior banking, credit analysis, lending accounting, or financial analysis experience is preferred
• Understanding of Commercial lending
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with customers financial data and bank information
• Able to analyze financial information in a clear and decisive manner
