Minden Exchange Bank & Trust Co in Minden Nebraska is seeking a full-time individual to work in our New Accounts Department. They will be expected to learn all applicable rules and regulations which go along with the opening of new accounts which can include Bank Secrecy Act, CIP, Anti-money Laundering (AML), OFAC, Beneficial Ownership rules as well as all TISA (Truth in Savings Act), REG CC, and any other rules/regulations pertaining to the duties.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties include:

·         Opening all types of Personal accounts; Checking, Savings, MMA, COD’s, Safe Deposit Boxes etc.

·         Opening all types of Business accounts; Checking, Savings, MMA, COD’s, Safe Deposit Boxes etc.

·         Cross selling additional products when opening new accounts: Online Banking, VISA Debit Cards, ATM Cards, Bill Pay services, etc.

·         Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures of the Bank.

·         Provide exceptional and knowledgeable customer service.

·         Answering/routing switchboard calls

·         Answering incoming customer service calls

·         Assist with Online banking questions

·         Reviewing daily reports

·         Greeting Customers/Customer Service

·         Operations duties as needed

·         Other duties as required  

·         Must be able to attend offsite schooling and webinar classes as needed

In addition to opening new accounts, the candidate will answer incoming switchboard calls and customer service calls as well. They will also work one Saturday a month in the new accounts area. This person must be flexible and eager to take on any task which may arise throughout the day. They must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to serve the customer and represent the Bank when interacting with new clients and members of the community.

Job Qualifications:

·         Banking experience is helpful;  however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

·         Proactive and responsive with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.

·         The ability to prioritize using effective time management and organizational skills in a fast paced,

deadline-driven environment.

·         Demonstrate ability to work well with people in a team environment and with customers.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and in working with other financial software.

·         Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively and professionally at all levels of the

·         organization and in the community.

·         Must possess a “can do” customer service attitude/philosophy.
