Nebraska State Bank in Bristow and Lynch is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Universal Banker. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, customer service, and being part of a small community bank where each team member makes a meaningful impact for bank with newly implemented growth plans as it prepares for retirements of key personnel.

This role will include a diverse range of responsibilities within the bank’s deposit operations area. We are open to candidates with a variety of banking experience or equivalent, from entry-level applicants who are eager to learn to experienced banking professionals looking for a broader operations role.

Responsibilities- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with deposit account opening, maintenance, and documentation
  • Supporting daily deposit operations and customer account servicing
  • Processing account changes, transfers, holds, stop payments, and related requests
  • Assisting with debit cards, online banking, mobile banking, ACH, wires, remote deposit, and other electronic banking services
  • Reviewing reports, balancing accounts, and helping resolve exceptions
  • Supporting compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting customers and employees with deposit-related questions
  • Maintaining accurate records and protecting confidential customer information
  • Working with other areas of the bank as needed, including customer service, bookkeeping, operations, and lending support
  • Core System administration and report pulling
  • Cross train in the loan department
  • Helping improve processes as the bank grows and adds products and services

Qualifications- The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Banking, bookkeeping, operations, teller, customer service, or administrative experience preferred, but not required

Experience Level- We are open to candidates with a wide range of experience, including:

  • Entry-level candidates interested in starting a banking career
  • Current or former tellers/customer service representatives
  • Deposit operations or bookkeeping staff
  • Experienced bank operations professionals

Training will be provided based on the candidate’s background and experience.
