The Credit Analyst is responsible for the review of all credit documentation pertaining to loans, including analyzing financial statements and periodic review of credit quality. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Review all financial information received as part of various credit requests/reviews.  Responsible for data entry and spreads of financial statements, completion of credit analysis presentations, and assignment of risk rating
  • Complete annual reviews of files over specified dollar limits, as requested by management, noting such things as collateral value, credit ratios and current information
  • Complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
  • Ordering of real estate appraisals and completion of real estate internal evaluations
  • Ordering of environmental prescreens
  • Assessment of compliance to loan policy of credit requests
  • Valid state driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
  • Adherence to schedule in a structured work environment

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with customer and associate inquiries
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Act as consultant for computer program input
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, related field or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 2 -3 years bank credit analyst experience with a financial institution required or equivalent experience in a financial institution
  • Must be PC proficient in various software applications including financials spreading and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and written and oral communication skills are required
  • Must be attentive to detail, accurate, self-motivated, flexible, organized and able to work under pressure
  • Complete assigned duties within required deadlines  
  • Ability to work independently in a pressure environment with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Practices high degree of professionalism and maintains satisfactory attendance within policy guidelines and is punctual
