Western Nebraska Bank is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Loan Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and servicing agriculture and commercial loan relationships while maintaining sound credit quality and providing exceptional customer service. The Loan Officer will work closely with bank leadership to support lending goals, grow the loan portfolio, and serve the financial needs of our communities.

Responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants and analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness
• Structure and negotiate loan terms including rates, collateral, and repayment schedules
• Manage and service an existing portfolio of commercial and agricultural loans
• Monitor loan performance and maintain ongoing customer relationships
• Identify and develop new lending opportunities and cross-sell bank products and services
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections
• Assist with loan presentations and credit committee approvals
• Work with customers to develop solutions when financial challenges arise
• Monitor past-due accounts and assist with collection efforts as needed
• Maintain knowledge of agricultural, commercial, FSA, and SBA lending programs
• Participate in community activities to build relationships and promote the bank
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Agriculture, or related field preferred
• Commercial and/or agricultural lending experience preferred
• Knowledge of FSA, SBA, and commercial loan programs is a plus
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to exceptional customer service
