Summary:

Nebraska Bank of Commerce is seeking an individual for a part-time, customer service representative (CSR) position for our Main location at 6000 Village Drive, Ste. 100, Lincoln, NE. This CSR position is responsible for being a resourceful advocate for our customers, as well as projecting a positive image for NBC through exceptional customer service. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing individual that can effectively and accurately complete transactions and daily tasks in an engaging and positive manner.

 

Hours:

1:00pm-6:15pm Monday through Friday, and 8:15am-12:15pm Saturdays on a rotating schedule. This position is expected to work up to 30 hours per week.

 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  1. Service: Assist customers with account transactions by providing prompt, accurate service. These transactions may be in person, by telephone, or in writing and are expected to meet or exceed our performance standards of actively working toward achievement goals.
  2. Personal Commitment: Demonstrate dependability and a desire to contribute to a positive team environment with regular, predictable attendance and punctuality. Project a professional image in dress, manner, communication (verbal or written) and focus.
  3. Daily Processing: Accurately attend to daily transactions and cash handling. Frequently balance a personal cash drawer and run transaction proof through branch capture. Participate in vault balancing. Actively answer phone calls and answer customer questions or transfer to the appropriate departments.
  4. Referrals: Possess a working knowledge of the bank’s products and services and provide customers with applicable information and guidance. Referrals are expected to meet or exceed our expected performance standard of proactively working toward achievement goals.
  5. Maintain and Organize: Maintain teller cash, customer documentation, and paperwork in a secure and appropriate manner.
  6. Training: Attend and participate in ongoing training and branch meetings.
  7. Administrative: Participate in special projects facilitated by various departments. Work a scheduled, rotating Saturday with other employees. Maintain and stock the lobby, teller line, and vault room.
  8. Other Duties as assigned

Core Competencies/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Retail sales/service experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Proactive and responsive personality with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow through
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization and community
  • Possess a “can do” attitude/philosophy

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

The environment for this position is an office-type setting that is mostly clean and comfortable.  Little discomfort caused by such factors as noise, heat or dust.  This position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 20 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
