Position Overview
A premier, community bank in North Central Iowa is seeking an experienced Vice President of Commercial & Agricultural Lending. This executive-level role is responsible for the strategic development and management of a high-quality loan portfolio, delivering financial solutions, and upholding the bank’s deep-rooted commitment to the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Proactively develop and manage a robust commercial and agricultural loan portfolio in strict alignment with organizational strategy and regulatory standards.
- Credit Leadership: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, assess credit risk, and structure complex loan requests while adhering to internal credit policies.
- Business Development: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients and prospective borrowers to identify financing needs and promote the bank’s full suite of products.
- Risk & Administration: Oversee the accurate documentation, diligent monitoring, and proactive administration of all credit relationships within the portfolio.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless loan processing and an exceptional customer experience.
- Community Advocacy: Serve as a key ambassador for the bank through active leadership in local business, civic, and agricultural organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in commercial and agricultural lending, with a strong emphasis on business development and credit administration.
- Technical Expertise: Prior experience as a Credit Analyst is highly preferred. Must demonstrate mastery in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and loan structuring.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex negotiations and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and modern banking/lending software.
