Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for loan administration and effective management of the loan support staff. This includes documentation preparation, processing, servicing, accounting, reporting functions and customer service. This position leads, trains, manages and effectively coaches loan support staff to ensure departmental goals are met.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coach and mentor loan support staff ensuring ongoing effective training for staff, including coordinating with other departments, as needed.
- Conduct department meetings to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Monitor attendance and verify timecards.
- Conduct effective and on-time performance appraisals of loan support staff.
- Assist in the hiring process for loan support department.
- Manage HMDA reporting process.
- Process loan rate changes.
- Assist with compliance training for Lending Department.
- Process and review Lending Department invoices.
- Track Credit Card Guaranty accounts.
- Oversee lending audits and exam requests.
- Verify that all loans are processed in accordance with established regulations, bank policies and secondary market processing guidelines.
- Work with loan process system providers to utilize applications to fullest capacity, streamlining processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Direct loan input and verification procedures for all loans. Ensure proper segregation of duties, develop and maintain workflows for all states of loan input.
- Verify that all loans are coded appropriately on the core system.
- Create, maintain and monitor customer documentation files, agricultural real estate files and commercial real estate files for completeness.
- Work to satisfy any credit review documentation exception report with loan officer(s) and/or credit analysis staff to correct any deficiencies and/or get the latest documents.
- Required to comply with Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act).
- Process Non-Accrual & Charge Off loan payment entries.
- Complete loan check on a rotating basis.
- Process participation loans and payments.
- Back-up processing secondary market applications, supporting documents and loan documents.
- Manage Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program.
- Serve on various bank committees.
- Manage work schedule for department.
- Establish and achieve individual goals and departmental goals as they relate to the success of the bank’s Strategic Plan and specific job functions.
- Participate in the business development efforts of the bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision: Loan Support Staff
Education: Associates degree, in related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Experience: Strong problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of bank’s policies and procedures. Excellent coaching and training skills. Must be proficient with computers, Microsoft products and standard office equipment. Proficiency with Fiserv, LaserPro and Encompass software is necessary, but may be learned on the job.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Saturdays – By appointment/As needed by department
