Five Points Bank is seeking a knowledgeable Systems Core Specialist. That will lead the computer operations area in developing, maintaining and implementing hardware, software and network process for the company. Provide back up and support for other positions as requested. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Implement and complete core software upgrades. 
  • Maintain complete documentation instructions for daily, monthly and yearly processes with the core application. 
  • Maintain effective relationships with Fiserv and internal customers regarding service, maintenance and performance of core applications with hardware/software.
  • Enforce compliance with standards/procedures.
  • Implement upgrades/patches on the bank core systems.  Communicate appropriate changes to affected personnel.
  • Research, implement, test, and review new projects. 
  • Complete training for appropriate system processing personnel at the conclusion of a project/upgrade.   Verify that all facets of the project/upgrade are working seamlessly.
  • Provide assistance to network administrator as requested.
  • Serve on various committees.
  • Streamline and standardize processes within the core and network environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve core and network servers and application issues.
  • Assist with daily, monthly, and annual duties within the core system processes.
  • Provide back up for other positions as directed by supervisor.
  • Review error and exception system reports. 
  • Maintain core servers on current upgrades and patches.
  • Coordinate IRS reporting/EOM/EOQ/EOY reports and files.
  • Coordinate Fiserv Disaster testing.
  • Monitor, verify and maintain backups of the Fiserv servers.
  • Establish two-way communications between departments and systems.
  • Foster a climate of excellent relations with both internal and external customers.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience with Fiserv core applications
  • Experience with IBM iSeries preferred
  • Accurately analyze and troubleshoot issues and problems

 

Education/Training:

College Degree in related field or 5 to 7 years of experience in the banking field.

 

Status/Standard Schedule:

Salary position generally Monday through Friday.  Will require evenings and weekends depending on program upgrades and project schedules.
