Role:
The Mortgage Loan Officer provides services to customers and prospective customers seeking all types of loans. Types of loans services include a combination of any of the following: consumer, installment and mortgage. Extremely limited credit authority under the guidance of Branch President.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Reviews loan requests in assigned areas, makes loans and manages loan portfolio.
- Makes credit investigations.
- Calls on customers and potential customers.
- Works with lending team to process loan documentation and record keeping.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Promotes bank's services and makes referrals to other bank departments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Management:
- Provide informed, prompt, accurate service and support to all customers and associates.
- Process customer transactions in accordance with bank policy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and/or Experience.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business/Ag Management or related field.
- Minimum of two years' lending experience required.
- Ability to analyze financial statements.
Interpersonal Skills.
- Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Ability to handle high volume of work and work closely with lending team.
- Strong customer service skills and enjoys working with the public.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: SAFE Act Licensing Requirements.

While performing the job duties of this position the employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 24 lbs. It is occasionally necessary to bend, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance and push/pull equipment. Firm grasping/fine manipulation with the right/left hand is necessary. In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.
