Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the management and retention of a portfolio of new and existing Agricultural and Consumer clients’ needs.
- Attain new customers through referrals therefore contributing to deposit growth by cross selling and promoting additional banking products.
- Seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls and referrals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service by addressing their lending requirements and inquiries.
- Identify and pursue new lending opportunities within the target market.
- Leverage industry knowledge and networking to generate leads and referrals, contributing to the growth of the lending portfolio.
- Analyze prospective clients' financial statements, cash flow, credit history, and collateral to assess creditworthiness and determine appropriate lending structures.
- Develop and present customized lending solutions, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, working capital lines of credit, and other financing options, to meet clients' unique financial needs.
- Evaluate and manage credit risk by monitoring clients' financial performance and market conditions, making proactive recommendations and adjustments as needed.
- Prepare accurate and complete loan documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and market conditions that may impact clients' businesses, providing valuable insights and advice.
- Prepare thorough credit proposals, ensuring compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with internal employees, loan processing, and compliance, to ensure a seamless lending process and excellent client service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or experience in the agriculture industry.
- Should have at least 2-5 years in lending, relationship management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of lending products, credit analysis, financial risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet lending targets.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, credit scoring models.
- Familiarity with lending regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong ethical values and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Loan Officer must live in the city of Minden or within 15 miles of our location.

Relationships:
Responsible to CEO/BOD and Bank President for the fulfillment of functions and job responsibilities. Will have extensive contact with customers, the public and the community and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall image and reputation of the bank.
