PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Bank President serves as the Chief Operating Officer; responsible for leading and managing the bank operations, growth, and profitability. The role involves strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and operational management. In addition, the President needs to have strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders, including customers, employees, and the community. The Bank President ensures the institution remains competitive, viable, and aligned with its mission, vision, and values.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field (required);
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred), or successful completion of a Graduate School of Banking; OR,
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors

 PRIMARY DUTIES:

 Strategic Leadership

  •  Develop and implement the bank’s strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including market expansion, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Foster a culture of constant improvement, customer-centricity, and operational excellence.

 Financial Oversight

  •  Oversee the bank’s financial health, ensuring profitability, liquidity, and risk management.
  • Approve budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective measures as needed.

 Operational Management

  •  Direct daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish policies and procedures that promote effective governance and risk management.
  • Ensure all departments align with the bank’s objectives and deliver optimal performance.

 Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

  •  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local banking regulations.
  • Establish robust risk management practices to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with regulatory bodies and represent the bank in audits and reviews.

 Team Leadership and Development

  •  Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent across all levels of the organization.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the bank’s mission.
  • Mentor senior management and develop leadership succession plans.

Stakeholder Engagement

  •  Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, community leaders, and shareholders.
  • Actively participate in community and industry organizations to enhance the bank’s reputation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Responsible to the bank’s Chief Executive Officer for the successful performance of assigned responsibilities. Also, has key relationship with the Board of Directors.
  • Seeks assistance and advice from other bank personnel as needed, to ensure the successful performance of assigned responsibilities.

 METHODS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Through both oral and written reports to immediate and department supervisors.
