Job Summary:
Responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of commercial and agriculture loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Represents the bank in local community through active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all of the bank’s products and services. The position typically requires a minimum of 50 hours of work per week Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor an existing commercial real estate loan portfolio to ensure proper risk ratings and early identification of potential problems.
- Monitor an existing agriculture loan portfolio consisting of operating lines of credit, intermediate and long term financing. The primary financing is situated around crop and cattle operations.
- Source, develop and underwrite new customer relationships and financing. This will be accomplished through development of an individual call program.
- Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations, fee income, and selling of all bank products & services.
- Daily review, approval and disposition of commercial/ ag overdrafts.
- Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority with the bank as required.
- Support the bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.

Market President Responsibilities:
- Ensure smart purchases by utilizing standard purchasing techniques, including obtaining multiple bids, working with our other branches to achieve economies of scale in our purchases, etc.
- Continually take the pulse of clients through informal telephone conversations, lunch meetings, industry events and formal customer satisfaction surveys. Ensure that quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests. Is the point of contact for the community.
- Facilitates location and lending department meetings on a regular basis to ensure that all location employees understand the overall company goals. Reinforce continuously respectful communication between all departments. Reviews OD, past dues, loan maturity schedule, and loan pipe line.
- Ensuring the security and safety of staff and ensuring that the safety measures of each location is being met.
- Conducting weekly staff meetings.
- Responsible for the oversight of the location as a whole; ensuring all checks and balances of policies and regulations are followed.
- Responsible for being the point-of-contact for customers and employees.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Agriculture is preferred.
- Formal credit training.
- Minimum 5 years of lending experience.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to alternate sitting and standing. Must also regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and periodically lift 20-40 lbs.
