Flatwater Bank is seeking a loan officer to expand loan relationships and develop new business in our Ansley, NE market.   The applicant will be handling all types of loans including Ag, Commercial, and Consumer Lending.  Agriculture or related background is recommended, and prior lending experience is preferred.  The candidate will develop knowledge of this market as well as our products and services and work to explain loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements to customers and prospects.

We are seeking a candidate willing to become involved and engaged in the market and community and promote products and services to current and prospective clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
  • Maintain and update account records
  • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products and services to accomplish goals
  • Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty, and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
  • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines

 

Skills:

  • Proven working experience as a loan officer preferred
  • Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a goal-oriented environment
  • BS degree in agribusiness or ag finance, economics or a related field preferred
