JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and delivering engaging introductory technical training programs to new hire Associates in specified banking positions. Support peer training model to ensure effective delivery of training at locations. Evaluates additional training needs and areas needing improvement to coordinate one-on-one follow-up or other technical support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Design, develop and implement technical training introduction for Associates in the banking roles of teller, personal banker and customer experience representatives tailored to the bank’s software, compliance and operational procedures.
b. Ensure that peer trainers have access to all necessary training resources, including software tools, documentation and appropriate access for in-person and virtual orientation.
c. In conjunction with the HR Onboarding Coordinator, maintain a plan for appropriate Associate new hire orientation and onboarding tasks to ensure Associates integrate smoothly into their new roles and the company culture.
d. Onboard new peer trainers in conjunction with the HR Onboarding Coordinator by providing “train-the-trainer” sessions so they are prepared to deliver technical content confidently; facilitate ongoing quarterly meetings to discuss challenges, share best practices, and address gaps in knowledge or skills.
e. Support the performance of peer trainers by observing training sessions, providing feedback and coaching them on instructional techniques and communication.
f. Provide mentoring to peer trainers in coordination with the operations team to support consistency with completion of transactions.
g. Provide mentoring and one-on-one follow up to new Associates as needed for a period of two years and develop a process to evaluate their training; partner with peer trainers to re-train as appropriate in the roles of teller, personal banker, and customer experience representatives
h. Develop, implement and manage technical training support for Affiliate Services and other non-banking areas as requested.
i. Develop, manage and provide training support for all company acquisitions in conjunction with the HR Onboarding Coordinator.
j. Assist in development of training manuals and materials for use in all types of training activities.
k. Travel to locations to provide on-site training (group and one-on one) as needed.
l. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma required. Some college experience preferred.
2. Previous experience in banking or technical training required.
3. Experience in designing, developing and implementing employee training preferred.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate teaching and training methodology.
5. The ability to decipher technical material and develop appropriate training methodologies from the material.
6. Demonstrated human relations / interpersonal skills and ability to work with co-workers, supervisors, other departments and customers
7. Effective oral and written communications skills.
8. Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive).
9. Ability to handle special projects.

11. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
12. Ability to travel 30% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
