Job Title: Regional Loan Assistant
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Lead Loan Assistant and Loan Officer

Job Summary: Provide primary support to lenders by pulling reports, performing general clerical duties, coding loan transaction tickets, contacting customers and external agencies, maintaining organized files, gathering data and documents, inputting data and being familiar with general lending regulations and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Job Specific:
- Provide support for Loan Officers in their regions to help administer loan transactions.
- First point of contact for all loan officers in their region.
- Take the information provided from the loan officer and start the loan process which includes:
- Inputting loans in Sageworks (if not done by Credit Analyst) and creating presentations on smaller requests.
- Work and Complete items in the Sageworks Workflow, which may include:
- Pull customers credit report, flood determinations, CoreLogic appraisals, MLA information, fill out Beneficial Owner form- when applicable.
- Ensure the bank’s position on a DOT and that there is adequate FA coverage for the new loan and loans cross-collateralized, along with adequate title insurance.
- Coordinate with customers for closing times or possible electronic closings.
- Possibly close loans with customers when the loan officer is unavailable.
- Request Documentation from processing.
- Submit loan for uploading/funding.
- Add Ticklers.
- Perfect lien positions.
- Pay invoices appropriately.
- Complete HMDA and ATR when applicable.
- Complete Sageworks Workflow.
- Work with customers and loan officers to complete exception lists.
- Coordinate loan modifications and extensions with lenders, update files and computer system(s) accordingly.
- Maintain well-organized and complete files using checklists and following lending regulations. Files may include liens, deeds, titles, credit reports, tax returns and proof of insurance. File all documents in a timely manner.
- The nature of this position may involve exposure to highly sensitive material. Strict confidentiality is imperative.
- Perform UCC, EFS and real estate lien searches. Gather additional data, such as credit reports, as required.
- Communicate with customers and external agencies via phone, mail, and e-mail. Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Keep informed and updated on any changes to lending policy or regulation.
- Attend any internal or external training opportunities as instructed by lending officers.
- Demonstrate proficiency at a variety of different software programs.
- Assist in any audit preparation and/or process as directed.

Qualifications:
- Possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer at least 1 year of previous experience in consumer and/or commercial loans as a lending assistant or higher capacity; additional experience is a plus.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license required.
Physical Demands:
- Engage in routine physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to read reports and use a computer effectively.
- Lift and carry items up to 30 pounds daily, including file boxes and office supplies.
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoors in an environmentally controlled setting.
- Occasional travel by car to visit other company locations may be required.
- Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work to achieve established goals.
