Loan Processing Specialist

This position has the option to work in one of the following branch locations. Bennet, NE, Columbus, NE, or Stanton, NE. and provides support for loan administration by processing and creating all new loan documentation through the bank’s loan documentation system. This position requires exceptional attention to detail while performing all duties in a manner consistent with standard procedures and providing the highest standard of customer service/communication skills.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of all new bank loans, including consumer, commercial, agricultural, and business/agricultural real estate type of lending in accordance with the bank’s loan policy and procedures guidelines.
  • Directly assist branch loan officers to assure loan requests are input into processing software to create appropriate loan documents.
  • Work with branch lending staff in regards to completing appropriate documentation real estate liens and flood insurance (if applicable).
  • Review imaged documents to verify liens are perfected and to check cross-collateralization before completing loan documents. Review active status on business entities.
  • Assist branch personnel when loan modification requests are received.
  • Work with branch lending staff on appropriate notifications for denied loans and reporting.
  • Provide loan file maintenance assistance for all new loans input.
  • Additional related duties or special projects may be assigned.
  • Comply with all Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering regulations, bank policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Consistent use of excellent customer relation skills in all phases of daily contact with banking staff.
  • Treat all transactions with complete confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of required lending documentation and bank lending regulations.
  • Knowledge with loan processing software.
  • Possess complete knowledge of how, when and where UCC and mortgage lien documents should be filed, released or continued.

Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior loan administration or loan processing experience preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products: Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers in regards to loan files and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to create an organized, efficient work environment.
  • Ability to manage workload priorities and work under pressure for loan closing deadlines.
