Primary Job Purpose: Responsible for the bookkeeping functions, all electronic banking/ACH functions and assisting customers at drive-up window with deposits, check cashing, and various other bank transactions. Provide outstanding, friendly, courteous service to customers in a professional manner and actively cross-sell bank services.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process transactions through the check scanner.
- Assist customers with electronic banking including Retail Online, Business Online, Mobile Banking, ACH Origination and Bill Pay.
- Process and verify totals on ACH files and provide ACH Origination support.
- Desk Job – Closed Accounts, Account Documents and CIP Check/BSA.
- Accept and process customer transactions at the drive-up.
- Process non-posted items.
- Answer phone calls directed to bookkeeping.
- Process stop payments.
- Process Federal Reserve Returns and Check Adjustments.
- Balance Card Transactions.
- Process and track Visa Disputes.
- Support and backup all bookkeeping functions (General Ledger, Scan Index, File Maintenance, CD Check, Overdraft/Returns).
- Print, review and mail notices. Process outgoing mail.
- Perform daily wire and Federal Reserve balancing.
- Establish and achieve individual goals and departmental goals as they relate to the success of the bank’s Strategic Plan and specific job functions.
- Participate in the business development efforts of the bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Customer Service and money handling experience is preferred. Basic math skills and/or knowledge of accounting principles are required. Must have basic computer knowledge, be proficient with Microsoft products and the ability to operate standard office equipment.
Hours:
Mon – Fri: 7:00 or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (rotating opening shift)
Rotating Saturdays: 7:00 or 8:00 am - Noon
