Ag & Commercial Lender

MNB Bank is a community bank based out of Southwest Nebraska that has been in existence since 1907.  We currently employ 90 employees throughout our 6 locations in Nebraska and Colorado.  

We are looking for an Ag and Commercial Loan Officer that will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio as well as generating relationships to grow the bank’s current portfolio.  Must be able to represent MNB in the local community by active participation in community affairs. 

This position provides considerable opportunities for advancement within our growing company.

Essential Functions

• Generates commercial and agricultural loan applications. Ensures that interviews with customers are conducted appropriately. Collect and analyze financial and related data to determine the creditworthiness of the applicant and the merit of the request.
• Approves loans within credit authority.  Submits loans outside of authority to the appropriate committee for approval.
• Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and collateral requirements, within loan policy.
• Administer credit within the general and specific guidelines of the Bank’s Loan Policy.
• Responsible for making sure all underwriting and loan documentation meet the Bank’s Loan Policy and all regulatory requirements applicable  to department operations, as well as the exercise of sound credit decisions.
• Provide leadership and direction to Business Banking Specialists and other department employees.

Education and Experience

• Prefer a four year degree in business administration or related field, or 5 to 7 years experience in related field.
• An understanding of agricultural.
